Mr Muzzammil Nusrath recently (successfully) operated on our 17 year old son Luke at the QMC Hospital Nottingham. Additional pre-operative considerations where given to our son by Mr Nusrath and the anaesthesia team because of his existing Narcolepsy and Cataplexy conditions.
On the day of surgery, it took over 5 hours to completely remove a Pleomorphic adenoma.
Both my wife and myself have immense gratitude and respect for the way our son was treated and the care he was shown by Mr Nusrath, his surgical team and all of the support staff at Queens Medical Centre Nottingham maxillofacial dept. Mr Nusrath is a true professional and a shining example to the NHS.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Nusrath for his caring approach and his ability to communicate to a layperson in a very reassuring way. I wish him all the best in his continued profession and life in general.

I am really happy that in every sense Luke's surgery went well and we had an excellent outcome. Many thanks for your comments, which humble me. Most aspects of surgery especially cancer surgery is team work and I will pass on the messages of good will from you.
I was admitted to QMC on20/1/15 to the maxillofacial dept. to have a cyst removed, and I have.to say all.the staff from the ward to the theatre was very pleasant and thoughtfully. Mr Nusrath was very reassuring about the procedure and made me feel relaxed throughout. I have no hesitation in recommending his skill and his pleasant sense of humour "well done" 10/10 thanks very much for the pleasant experience.

Many Thanks. I am really glad that all worked out in the end. Humour? What Humour!. My best wishes to you both.
I was referred to the QMC ENT department by my GP on Monday 2nd February with an abscess under my rear bottom tooth which had caused my lower jaw to swell up badly. I was just expecting to be given some antibiotics and sent home you can imagine my shock when Mr Nusrath told me I was suffering from Ludwig's Angina and a descending odontogenic infection, a potentially life threatening condition, and I needed an emergency operation.
Mr Nusrath explained the procedure very well and told me all the possible outcomes. He was about to go home but without a second thought agreed to stay on to perform the operation. I was rushed through Xray and CT scan and into the operating theatre , throughout this time Mr Nusrath kept me fully informed of what was happening.
The operation went well and at least twice a day after that Mr Nusrath came to see me on the ward to check on my progress answering any questions I had in a way I could understand.
On the day I was discharged he made a point of seeing me and explaining my post hospital care and rehabilitation.
Without exception all the doctors and nurses I came into contact with during my stay at QMC were very professional, understanding and friendly I couldn’t have had better care.
In my opinion Mr Nusrath is an excellent consultant and myself and all my family would like to thank him and wish him well for his future career.

Dear Martin, You made a marvellous recovery and as I said you were superfit!. You have a marvellous family/ Support. Many thanks for your kind comments and wishes. On behalf of our surgical/nursing team I wish you and your family the best. I hope your voice is back to normal now.
Mr. Nusrath fully explained my Low-grade Non Hodgkin's lymphoma today, which put my mind at ease and has helped me in having to adapt to this change in my health care and life for the future .
Entering into something that wasn't 'common knowlege' to me ,was like going out into the 'unknown'.
One needs to really face up and confront all aspects, head on, in an attempt to conquer all fears .
When you removed my paritod gland , Mr Nusrath, your surgery was so neat . All your medical team were fantastic back-up too !! Thank-you all so much.
I found the advice of drinking plenty of water and being very careful in what pain killers I took for after surgery so as not to cause damage to my kidneys extremely valuable.
Thank you Mr. Nusrath,
Margaret Taylor.

Mr Musrath could not have been better in any way and in my view could not improve In any way! He is extremely kind and caring and very thorough. He really seems to care about his patients and I feel very fortunate to have had him as my surgeon. I thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing oral surgery.
